    ESKİŞEHİR OSMANGAZİ UNIVERSITY LIBRARY

 

Eskişehir Osmangazi University Library opened on October 20, 2004. The library building, with a closed area of ​​7,200 m², consists of four floors, including a basement and ground floor. The name of the ESOGU (Eskişehir Osmangazi University) Central Library was changed to "Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Library" in accordance with the decision numbered 23/04, dated October 24, 2018. The library employs 41 staff members.

The library, which has a seating capacity of 838 people at the same time, has 10 group study rooms and 7 academic staff study rooms.

There are computers with internet access for homework and research in the Audio-Visual section, computers for browsing the library catalogue at the library entrance and on the book floors, and an automatic book lending and returning station.

In the cafeteria within the library building, vending machines with hot and cold beverages and snacks are available to meet the needs of readers.

ESOGU Library continues to provide 24/7 service to its students, academic and administrative staff, alumni, retired personnel and other users.

Our library uses the LC (Library of Congress) classification system. The cataloging system is AAKK 2 (Anglo-American Cataloging Rules 2).

ESOGU's book collection consists of approximately 164,908 printed books and 392,248 electronic books. The periodical collection includes 10,235 hardcover journals. In addition, the latest issues of 22 Turkish journals (current and academic) with ongoing subscriptions are displayed in our halls. Our Thesis Department also houses 8107 master's and doctoral dissertations.
