Researcher Identification
Some difficulties can arise when entering author information in databases due to reasons such as spelling errors, character mismatches, or the presence of multiple researchers with the same name. Therefore, in addition to various citation indexes, some organizations have developed numbers to identify authors.
To ensure a sound analysis of the publications of our University and our academics, our Directorate has prepared guides for all academics to use in recording and editing their publications in the following tools.
Publons provides a ResearcherID for each author. Authors can associate all their publications with a ResearcherID, keeping them in one place. This allows authors to easily access up-to-date citation analysis of their publications within the Web of Science. Authors can obtain a ResearcherID by registering on the website.
