Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
The ILL service provides library users with information resources necessary for research and education, but not available in the library, from other university libraries and prepares the necessary facilities for this purpose.
a) Academic staff can benefit from the interlibrary loan service.
b) Users who wish to benefit from the ILL service can come to the library or make a request through the library's automation system.
c) To ensure timely and accurate response to requests, forms must be completed accurately and completely, and abbreviations must be avoided. Incomplete or inaccurate source information will prevent the request from being processed accurately and promptly. The requesting user is responsible for any errors resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information. When completing the form, it is essential to ensure that information such as the title (book, article, etc.), author, issue, year, etc., is accurate. For faster and more accurate access, the ISSN number of periodicals and the ISBN number of books can be included.
d) Incompletely filled forms will not be processed and the requesting user will be notified via email.
e) Information notes are sent to users' e-mail addresses. Users must report any changes in their e-mail addresses to the library circulation desk or to the e-mail odunc@ogu.edu.tr.
f) The lending rules of the providing library apply to requested resources. If the borrowed resource is not returned on time, is lost, or is damaged, the rules of the borrowing library apply. The user is responsible for adhering to these rules.
g) By requesting a resource, the user agrees to use the publication in accordance with copyright laws and return it within the requested timeframe. Users with overdue publications or fines cannot utilise from this service unless they pay these fines.
h) All costs incurred as a result of requests made through the interlibrary loan service are covered by the user making the request (photocopying, postage, etc.).
i) Users under ILL can request a maximum of 3 (three) books at a time.
j) The book requested from the other university must be available for loan.
k) A maximum of three (3) resources will be sent to the requesting library for a period of 15 (fifteen) days within the city and 30 (thirty) days outside the city. Received resources will be extended a maximum of one time unless requested by another user.
